Weight loss programs vary and whether you have decided on a rapid weight loss plan or one where you lose weight more slowly and steadily, your other weekly commitments will have a bearing on how successful you are. Successful weight loss requires a special commitment that cannot be underestimated and any weight loss program should be taken seriously as there are a number of things to consider. Each person has a unique metabolism and when a particular program is not proving successful, it does not mean that success cannot be found with another diet plan.

You would be wise to choose an exercise method that suits your physical abilities so if all you are able to do is walk then that is fine; calories are burnt quicker with muscle that has been converted from fat, even as a result of walking, but not everyone is suited to vigorous physical exertion. Exercise often means a great deal of body fluids are lost and need to be replaced; in particular with a rapid weight loss program because you need to stay hydrated and water is very good at removing unwanted toxins from the system. Fried foods are generally bad for you even when they are chicken or fish, both of which contain more fat than beef when it is fried.

Wherever possible have your food grilled as almost all of the fat is lost if not all of it so it's much healthier. Make sure that you aren't avoiding carbohydrates altogether though as they provide your body with the energy it needs to function properly. This type of diet supplies between 1,000 and 1,500 calories per day and it is not too difficult to lose about a pound or so in weight every day; however, it is quite possible that weight will start to rise again if you do not maintain a reasonable calorie level each day.
